17/11/09				SGS Sponsors Conference on Project Lifecycle Risk for Offshore Renewables SGS is sponsoring the Conference on Project Lifecycle Risk for Offshore Renewables, which will take place from January 26 - 27, 2010 in London. It has become increasingly important to identify and mitigate project lifecycle risks for wind energy investments. Jale Cairney, Business Development Manager of SGS Wind Energy Services, will hold a presentation on “Exploring Challenges Around Aggregated Risk.”
17/11/09				SGS Presents its Wind Energy Services at China Wind Power 2009 SGS Wind Energy Competence Center presented its services at the Global Wind Power Conference 2009 in China. Marcel Poodt, Lead Engineer of the SGS Wind Energy Technology Center (WETC), introduced the Full-Scale Blade Testing services offered by SGS. Participants showed great interest in the services provided by the newly established center.
04/11/09				SGS Presents Wind Energy Services at the Korea Green Energy Show 2009 The SGS Wind Energy Competence Center participated in the Korea Green Energy Show 2009 as the main exhibition for the energy industry in Korea. Attendees had the chance to learn more about the project life cycle of wind turbines and about the services that SGS offers in each phase, such as Wind Farm Project Certification, Blade Inspection and Condition Monitoring.

The presentation held by Torsten Muuß, Global Technical Manager for Wind Energy from SGS, proved to be a success as participants showed great interest in the services provided by the Center.

07/10/09				SGS Competence Center Wind Energy Attends Wind Power Expo 2009 Conference and Exhibition in Zaragoza The Wind Power Expo 2009 Conference and Exhibition in Zaragoza provided an excellent opportunity for the SGS Satellite Competence Center Wind Energy Spain to present its comprehensive Certification, Inspection and Testing Services. Attendees had a unique chance to learn about the services offered by SGS along the project life cycle of wind turbines such as wind farm project certification, blade inspection and condition monitoring.

29/09/09				SGS Competence Center Wind Energy Attends World’s Largest Offshore Wind Conference in Stockholm SGS Wind Energy Competence Center successfully participated in the European Offshore Wind 2009 Conference and Exhibition (EOW) – the world’s largest offshore wind energy event organized by the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA). Attendees benefited from the live Oil Analysis Demonstration by SGS experts and enjoyed live music by David Härenstam– one of Sweden’s leading concert guitarists.
