Today large scale wind farms are moving offshore which involves new risks and challenges. Focus is placed not just on wind climate but location‘s soil conditions, water depth, wave and ice conditions are also considered to ensure that wind turbine design and materials fit the intended purpose.

To assure quality of wind farms SGS works as an independent project surveyor carrying out project monitoring and due diligence evaluation of wind farm projects both onshore and offshore wind farm projects.
